Congress Program schedule:

Tuesday: the photographic culture - with 3 so called “big names”.
In particular we are happy to announce that are coming to the congress the fashion and fine art photographer Sarah Moon, the famous Magnum Photographer Martin Parr, and that we finalised an agreement with Paolo Roversi as the 3rd keynote speaker. It is also confirmed, amongst others, that the American Eddie Tapp (Adobe Photoshop Hall of Fame) will give an 3 hour digital seminar at the congress.
FETA award
FEP will realise an FEP Emerging Talent Awards programme aimed at offering a European wide certification system for young graduating photographers under the age of 30 years.
This is not aimed at replacing any certification or qualification offered by colleges and universities. Rather it would be a photographic equivalent of a “European Drivers Licence” that will give international options for the graduating photographer and extend his/her options for working in the EU.
President Neil Warner, and Board Member Jim Lowe and Ivana Matejková will present a more advanced project, including the practical aspects of this project and a budget to the next GA meeting.
Photokina programme
The FEP will be hosted at the stand of the German member association.
September 21st: press conference on the next European congress
September 22nd: presentation of the competition winners at the Epson stand
September 23rd: FEP General Assembly (morning) and Congress cell meeting (afternoon)
Next Board Meeting and QEP session
The winter session of the QEP qualification will be held in Brussels on November 27th and 28th. The new Board meeting will be held the day after, Monday November, 29th.
Copyright on photographs "The 10 Commandments"
The Board agreed unanimously on the proposal to publish on the web site and to recommend the Member associations to promote the so called “10 commandments” on Copyright on photographs, using the text approved by the Dutch BURAFO and already used also in Belgium.

Epson announces extended sponsorship of the Federation of European Professional Photographers
Having supported the FEP for the last 3 years, and seen the value the organization offers to the professional photography community, Epson has confirmed its support of the FEP European Professional Photographer of the Year Awards for the next three yearsClaes Jeppsson, Head of LFP Sales, Epson, said of the on-going sponsorship: “Epson is committed to the development of excellence in printing and presentation technology. We also recognise the importance of supporting the growing number of European photographers and the creative images they produce.

"Over 1,000 photographers have already taken part in previous FEP European Professional Photographer of the Year Awards, demonstrating great diversity and high quality, creative images. To us, sponsoring this important event is an opportunity to support the further development of the industry.”
FEP President, Neil Warner, added: “Epson is a great sponsor. This extended support for 2011, 2012 and 2013 is very important and will help us to continue celebrating the wide-spread excellence in European photography. The FEP European Professional Photographer of the Year Awards gives photographers a chance to measure themselves against their peers as well as draw inspiration from the work of others; both of which are important in professional development.”
