Biography

• Born in Portimão, Portugal, Pedro Noel da Luz Guerreiro is a collaborator as a photographer and image reporter at the Cofina group. • The photographer has already collaborated with his works for the "Orquestra do Algarve" and the "Centro de Estudos Africanos U. P. Faculdade de Letras, Universidade do Porto." • In October 2007, he received an honorable mention from FIAP at the 1st International Salon of Digital Photography – CELJE in Slovenia. • In July 2009 he received the Racal Medal Award "Tourism Prize" & Racal Medal Award "Best Portuguese" in the Digital Monochrome category at the 35th Algarve Photo Salon. • His photographs have already been published in magazines such as “Digital Photographer” and “Mundo da Fotografia Digital”. with several photographers in a book entitled “Fragmentos de Emoção” edited by Editorial Minerva. • On the 31st of May 2010, his exhibition “The Train Leaves at 07:08 p.m” was featured on the program "Diário Camara Clara" on the potuguese televison RTP2. • He participated in the collective exhibition "O Chiado vai ter a maior exposição fotográfica do Mundo" in Lisbon in 2010. •In December 2010, he won the 2nd prize in the “Desafio Olhares November” contest held by the photograhy website "Olhares" in which 900 photographers with 1500 photos to the competition. • In 2011 he participated in the II Edition “The Largest Photographic Exhibition in the World” which took place in Lisbon. Funchal and Porto Santo. • Participation in the event “Art Takes Time Square” New York, 2012 • Finalist for the portfolio review at the International Photography Prize “Emergentes” 2012 & 2013 in Braga. -Participation in the international exhibition "The Story of the Creative" New York and Long Island City, United States,July 2013 •In December 2013 he was one of the finalists for the “Reflex” award from Cais/Bes magazine •In January 2014 he was selected with a photo for the best B&W photo gallery on the official Black and White World facebook page which has approximately 7000 members. * April 2014 he is selected with a photograph by the curator Jessica Davis Gould for the website "LENS Folio". *In May 2014 is selected with a photograph by founding editor Antonella Leone for "Full Frame - All in Your Head" *Selected to participate in the "See MeTakeOver" event in Times Square, New York-USA, July 2014 *In November 2014 wins an honorable mention in the category "People:Portrait" at the "ND Awards Neutral Density Photo Contest" 2014. •February 2015, wins an Honorable Mention in the category of Photojournalism at the (Monochrome Awards 2014) International Black & White Photography Contest. • July 2015, he is selected to participate in the "Fifth Annual Exposure Award" that took place at the Louvre Museum, Paris, France. •March 2016, Nominated in the "Fine Art" Professional Category at the "9th Annual International Color Awards™." •November 2016, wins an honorable mention in the professional silhouette category and is nominated for two photographs in the photojournalism and silhouette categories at the 11th Annual Black & White Spider Awards™. •November 2016, won with the 2nd place the "Silver Star Award" in the international competition "ND Awards 2016" in the Editorial category: General News. •January 2017, wins an Honorable Mention in the "People" category at the (Monochrome Awards 2017) International Black & White Photography Contest. •March 2017 wins an Honorable Mention in the professional category of "Abstract" and is nominated with two photographs in the professional category of "People" at the "10th Annual International Color Awards™". • April 2017, he is nominated in the professional category of "People" in the 3rd edition of the “FAPA-Fine Art Photography Award“. •October 2017, receives an honorable mention in the "Nature" category and is nominated in the "Architectural" and "Fine Art" categories at the 12th Black & White Spider Awards™. •January 2018, wins an Honorable Mention in the "People" category at the (Monochrome Awards 2017) International Black & White Photography Contest. •March 2018.
