Biography

Vladimír Kysela was born in Ústí nad Orlicí and currently lives in Liberec, Czech Republic. His work is based on the landscape tradition, but his ambition is to depict the inner stories of the mind mainly in the form of abstract and graphically conceived projects. Since 2017 he is a member of the Czech Association of Professional Photographers, APF. His projects based on literary inputs (Karel Hynek Macha, Hans Christian Andersen and Antoine de Saint Exupery) have won awards in major international competitions. He regularly presents his work at exhibitions in the Czech Republic and abroad. Recently, his attention has turned to organizing photographic expeditions and workshops, dedicated to ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) and ME (Multi Exposure) technics. The organization of workshops, courses and lectures is an integral part of his artistic activities.
