About the FEP Young Photographer Award
The FEP Young Photographer Awards is a European accolade for talented young photographers who wish to showcase their work to a wider audience. In 2013, The Federation of European Photographers, in collaboration with several Universities, Colleges and studios, introduced a new photographic award for young photographers in fulltime education and assistants in studios. The aim was to encourage and recognise the high standard of photographic image making taking place in Europe by final year-students and newly qualified young photographers. In Tbilisi, Georgia in 2018 it was decided to create an overall Young Photographer Award initially known as FETA (FEP Emerging Talent Award), as part of the FEP photography competition, now known as the FEP Young Photographer Award, open to any photographer under 30 year of age on the closing date of the competition.

FETA 2019
The winner of the last FETA Award is Tim Hoffesommer, from Germany, student at the Handwerkskammer University of Dortmund.

FETA 2017/2018
The winner of the FETA Award 2018 is Lea Jörres , from Germany, student at the Dortmund University.

FETA 2016
The FEP FETA Award 2016 and the IPC Kunio Yatomi Scholarship go to Priscilla Pallante, an Italian 24 years old student at the IED – Istituto Europeo del Design, Rome, Italy. Congratulations!
FETA Award 2016 and the combined IPC prize ceremony took place on November 20, 2016, at the photographic institute FotoVak School, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The FETA Chairman Jim Lowe and the European Representative of IPC, Tor Weatherstone, led the Ceremony.

Among others, in her application Priscilla Pallante writes: “The photography I love is the one that can show the unseen, the one that grows in time, influenced by the memory: my images are the result of a process of observation and manipulation. Today my research focuses on the relationship between photography and new technologies (such as 3D print), in order to investigate new strategies to represent worlds that otherwise couldn’t be represented.”

FETA 2015
The winner of this edition is Christopher Rüsing, student at the Bildungszentrum Handwekskammer Dortmund, Germany. Congratulations!
The panel of this student of photography represents, with a modern presentation, different moment of a traditional Circus, using the CGI. “The viewer is invited to remember the good old times of classic entertainment mixed with a modern presentation” explained the young photographer from Germany.
The judging has been chaired by Dave Matthews and happened online by 3 Qualified European Photographers, Johan Brouwers, QEP, Vincent O’Byrne, MQEP and Adriano Scognamillo, QEP. The anonymity of the candidates has been respected at all times. The judges beyond award a winner, decided to mention also 3 other students, with a Merit Award.

The FETA winner Christopher Rüsing and the finalists have been presented and awarded during the FETA Award Ceremony on Sunday, December, 13th, in Grado, Italy, at the Photography Masters Conference.
FETA 2014
The winner of the FETA (FEP Emerging Talent Award) Award 2014 was MAREK ŠTIM, student at the Faculty of Art and Design, Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem, Czech Republic.

The winner of “The FEP Emerging Talent Award” and all those who received awards has been awarded at tthe FEP Awards Ceremony in Trieste, Italy, during the FEP International Photo Days, on March, 1st, 2015.
FETA 2013
A Czech student has won the new European award for year graduating students and young photographers, launched by FEP.
The Federation of European Photographers, in collaboration with a number of Universities and Colleges of UK, Czech Republic, Hungary and Germany celebrated the inaugural edition of this new photographic award for young photographers. The aim is to encourage and recognize the high standard of photographic image making taking place in Europe by final year University students.
The winner of the FETA (FEP Emerging Talent Award) was ANNA RASMUSSEN, student at the Orange Factory, Studio of Advertising Photography, School of Art and Advertising, Prague, Czech Republic.
